Ger & John O’Sullivan’s Headstrong charity cycle will travel from Kildare town to Sligo town on June 4th & 5th 2011. The route will pass through five counties and cover 200k each day for two days.

They want to raise as much money and awareness as possible to help Headstrong continue and expand its programmes throughout Ireland in suport of young people’s mental health. Please get involved and support them in this worthwhile challenge.

This campaign is important to them because it supports young people directly and puts them at the centre of the solution. Mental health affects one in three people and can be very difficult and challenging for young people in particular. They believe we can work together to help raise awareness of the many great support networks, like Headstrong that exist in our communities today. Sport is a great way of reaching out and bringing people together and at the same time is a fantastic way of promoting good mental health. So they encourage people to come out and join them along the route and have some fun!
