As we are in winter training mode, the pace will be steady. Its shorter than we are used to and we should be taking it steady and maintaining fitness over the winter.
Can I remind everyone of the C group Charter for winter training
Weekly spins are approx 50km (30 miles)
Average speed 20/25 km per hour (12/15MPH)
These averages will be maintained throughout the winter.
Being a steadier pace, it will be a good opportunity to practice our skills of riding in a group,in close formation and turning over.
Anyone wishing to go faster is encouraged to join the B Group who have slightly longer and faster routes.
I am also proposing that we should meet on an odd evening as a group on occasion to just have a pint and discuss opinions as to the running of the C Group.
There is a requirement in the club, that all groups should have a Vice Captain.Chosen from the Group, to assist the Captain in marshalling on the road and to take charge of the Group in the absence of the Captain.
If anyone would like to take this role or wants to nominate anyone. Please let me know.
Enjoy the ride and let me prod you again about the Table Quiz.
See you Sunday.
Fit mudguards and lights!
