Myself and Ken Conlon were the Naas representatives in the Waller Cup A3 race in Bohermeen. There was a big field of riders out on a mixed day with wind, rain and sunshine for six laps of a 16.5 km mostly flat circuit. After a gentle enough start, things ramped up and by the third lap a strong group of about 18 riders got away. The bunch never really got organised to chase despite some clubs having four or five riders out. Ken did his usual few turns on the front to keep things moving and we both rolled in with the bunch, happy to have stayed the distance at 39 km/hour after a lack of serious bike time for both of us recently.
