Another Great Night for the racing section of the club.
RESULTS: ROUND 10 – CARLOW (5km Tougher’s Circuit).
“CATHAL MURRAY (Naas CC) took the honours tonight after himself and breakaway companion JONATHAN REIDY (KCC) attacked the large bunch with 6km to go and just held on for a gutsy win. With the Naas and Kilcullen teams sitting up and the other clubs hesitating, the two escapees rode eyeballs out in the wind and when Murray jumped Reidy in the final 1km, he just had enough to hold on from the fast finishing pack. Reidy’s effort is the hard-luck story of the league this year as he instigated a number of attacks on the night but died a million deaths on the drag to the line and ended up out of the points. Emily-Anne Doyle (Naas) put up a great performance to hang with the men to the end and took the women’s grade.” (Official Race Report)
Makes it all worthwhile. Well done everybody.
