Can you believe that the dreaded January is nearly gone and we are a step closer to Spring.
With a good forecast for Sunday Im tempted to be bold. But with our recent weather experiences my head is telling me “be cautious”!
Taking our aborted journey of last Sunday and adding a few more pedal strokes. Pushing our distance a little and tweaking a few things. In my reluctance to push you and myself too far, bearing in mind a 2 week layoff, we will leisurely make our way around a now familiar route that is the flat land of west Kildare.
Dagwelds, Allenwood, Rathangan.Monasterevin (for tea!) and home via Kildare, Milltown and Newbridge.
A tidy 75km!
I was tempted by a few of our more zealous clubmen to venture to Emo or Stradbally! But given the fragile nature of your Rear Admiral’s, by now soft rear end (having been without saddle for two weeks) I resisted the temptation. Rather to be held in abeyance until our weathermen can be more sure of their forecasting techniques and your esteemed Captain is more inclined to punish himself!!
Dont forget the usual caffuttriments! ID, money, lights, mudguards and helmet, water and food!
Look forward to seeing massive crowds out on Sunday! And………
BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!
