C Group ride for Sunday 23rd July

OK! Last week we had an easy 100 miler. No one was too stressed and we completed it in time for the match (part of) and a few pints. Not bad! and well done to everyone. Something we should all be proud of. 100 miles is a long trip by any mode of transport. But by bike is awesome.
Once again, thanks must go to Maria Hinch for the support and motor back up and Trish McGuane for the food. Thanks too to all who brought goodies that topped the fare on the day!
Now this week, the price must be paid!
82km and 1000m of climbing!
First we are heading to Ballymore, an easy start! Then the fun begins.
The hard way to Hollywood and Hollywood hill. On to the Kings River and heading towards Wicklow gap. But swinging left up Quintagh Hill ( we came down it a few weeks ago, well some of us did) before dropping down towards the Lakes.
Rounding the lakes the easy way. And popping up to Blessington for coffee. (No pass-outs available for a short step home!)
Blessington to Manor Kilbride up to N81 for our first visit to The Lamb (from this, the hard side)!
Kilteel towards Rathcoole turning left for another little surprise before a leisurely, or pacey drift through Kill and Johnstown and home.
You should be ready for the dinner after that!
Bring the usual cofuttraments and money for your coffee ( we won’t be taking hot tank water in our bidons this week, for sure).
Next of Kin ID’s are still obligatory. Even though we have not mentioned them to date much. Make sure you are covered.
Weather looks fine from here and I hope its fair with us.
See you all Sunday
