Preliminary meeting 2030 hrs 25 March 2010
General overview of agreed rules and format between Naas, Carlow, Kilcullen and Newbridge Clubs.
1. Each club will host three races
2. 1st race for Mondello Park on 15th of April- confirmation to be given
3. Races to be held on Thursday of each successive week
4. Sign-on at 1900 hrs for 1930 hrs race start (sharp!)
5. Race duration approximately 45 mins to one hour
6. One lead car and all junctions to be marshalled on races
7. Club racing licence required as minimum
8. Affiliated members accepted for this year but this will be reviewed
9. UCI rules and Cycling Ireland categories applicable
10. Races handicapped by split starting
11. Additional “A5” Category for club licence holders/beginners
12. Four person Handicapping Committee consisting of member from each club
13. Handicapping Committee to assess results after four races to ensure close competition
14. €25 flat charge to ride in league
15. Placing system and prizes to be decided after take-up level amongst riders can be judged
