Autumn heading towards winter- time to start thinking of winter training bikes

This Sunday is the final spin before the clock changes; to complete our transition phase of training, we will do a c.50 mile non-stop spin heading roughly into the headwind to Rathangan. The first 40km are flat and easy – then we tackle Dunmurray, The Wall and The Hill of Allen in quick succession before the run home from Blacktrench. After the rough wind/weather lately this will be a final challenge for us before we take out the winter bikes from next weekend onwards. Lets stick together as much as we can – then give the “Wall” one final blast for 2017!

Group leaves at 9am from the courthouse – beware of broken glass in the area. Make sure the bike is in good nick and have repairs/supplies/food/clothing to manage “on the move.”

It is also a chance to discuss plans for the racing group for the winter/spring ahead – we have a wide range of interests and abilities so a bit of consensus is always useful.

Stormy conditions should pass by tomorrow

See you all at 9am.
