Tour de Foothills 2019
A quick message from Louise Caraher, Principal, Saplings Special School for Children with Autism and Complex Needs,
“I can’t believe it is almost time for the cycle again! That was a quick year.
This year Sapling’s are hoping to add to their playground – with a climbing frame based piece of apparatus which also has slides, monkey bars, tunnels and nets etc. It will be quite like this piece, however it will be customised for us to make it safer for our students.
It is going to cost approximately €20,000 all together – about €15,000 for the apparatus with modifications and about €5,000 for the safety flooirng to go underneath it.
We would love if your support as cyclists and help Naas Cycle Club fundraise for this, as it would be very beneficial for the students in terms of building arm strength, co-ordination and balance, and developing gross motor and play skills.”
