Some of the C Group are travelling this coming Sunday to Tullow for a 110km sportive in aid of Crumlin Hospital. If you are going arrive at courthouse at 7.30 am for transport to Tullow.
If your not taking on that challenge, I have devised a nice 67km flat easy route To Kilcullen. Narraghmore hasnt had a chance to see our style for a while, so we will right that wrong on Sunday. Then we will get lost, yet again in the apparent labyrinth that is AKA Nurney, before we finally find Kildare and home to Naas.
Weather is not looking good at this point but it will be an opportunity to welcome back the wet weather and go for a new experience. Know as ‘cycling in the rain’!!
I can assure those of a weak disposition that riding in the rain has a lot going for it!
Word of warning tho,,,, have your brakes adjusted up before Sunday. Riding in the rain on Wednesday night was an un-nerving experience. When the brakes were pulled there was little response in the wet. So make sure you leave more didtance between you and other riders.
Route is relatively short and should be well within the compass of everyone. We will keep the pace down to keep all onboard.
We should be ready for coffee in Kildare.
