This is the C Group route for Sunday 23rd February.
There have been some clear and definite signs of spring in the air this week! So, we are calling on all our friends who have cycled with us in the heady days of summer, sunshine and beer. To stir themselves like the snowdrops of spring and show their heads this coming Sunday. To assist in this revival I have set, together with our nice easy 80km route, a leisurely 50km route. This will facilitate the return of those who want to get back up on the bike in anticipation of Spring and Summer.
Keeping the whole group together, so we can all get reacquainted, we will head through Kilcullen and Dunlavin to sojourn in Blessington.
At which place we shall dismount to partake and imbibe of the hospitality of the West Wicklow Arms for coffee and whatever delights are on offer in that hostelry. After which, we will depart our arisen colleagues who will return to Naas thus completing the set 50km route.
Rest of us will continue to Saggart and Rathcoole before return into the breeze, such as it is for Old Mill and Kill for home.
I dont promise that this is the start or the end of the good/bad weather but I can promise you a good days cycling cause any day on the bike is a good day!
All club members know someone who has been waiting for the opportunity to do it all again so this is their chance. Give them a call and urge them ‘the time is NOW’
No one gets left behind.
Look forward to seeing lots of new/old faces.
