We might rename this the Fading Light Tour.
Weather looks ok for Sunday but with weather coming in later. Bank holiday Monday could be a bit of a wash out.
Anyway, lets do Monasterevin /Kildangan /Nurney the ‘normal’ way. (someone watch out for Liam Halpin on this). Coffee in Nurney would be nice, before heading to the Athy road and home.
74km route with little climbing should be ok for everyone. An easy pace should give us time and space to practice close formation group cycling and keeping it neat.
I will post a bank holiday Monday route later when the weather becomes clearer.
Lights front and back are a good idea from now on and particular attention paid to condition of tyres and inflation pressures with more debris on the road. Carrying 2 tubes should be a good option too. Coming into a bad time of the year for getting caught out.
bearin g in mind that your illustrious Captain has bee incapacitated for a number of weeks and continues to be. The group should be practicing leaving no one behind and re grouping to allow wayward riders to get back on.;-D
Enjoy the ride and come home safe
